A generation later, Albert’s son John Chipman expanded the business from its initial staff of three to build the architecture firm Chipman Design, in 1979. By the mid 1990s, state-of-the-art computer technology became one of the firm’s hallmark services. In 2019, CDA celebrated their 40th anniversary and today it is still family owned with John Chipman’s daughter, Lauren Chipman, leading the team into the 21st century. Once the preliminary scale is locked down, you can make large tweaks by dragging orthogonally (left–right or up–down) along the axis of focus then dragging orthogonally along the opposite axis. Now that you have your text and object elements built, you’ll want to save them as a template for quick access when creating new boards. Since that initial flagship store, collaboration with Chick-fil-A’s design and construction team has grown to accommodate its expanding national program. Chipman regularly provides architectural and design services for drive-thru restaurants, Urban In-Line stores, mall locations, and special projects. For some of the brand’s most complicated, multi-story locations in Manhattan, Chipman Design is able to leverage its in-house Visualization Studio to design virtual walkthroughs and 3D simulations that ensure execution is exactly right.
